FREDRICK was added to the collection through the estate of the original owner, a very successful inventor/industrialist from Southern California who ran a multinational company.  The car is named Fredrick in honor of its original owner.  Stored and maintained in a private airplane hanger, the car came to us with only 2,700 original miles (in 30 years!).

Fredrick is maintained as a fine example of an original "Shay" Model A Reproduction built by the Model T and Model A Reproduction Company. Other than our trademark yellow wheels, it remains just as produced and sold in 1980 including a spare tire mounted on the left front fender, characteristic of the “deluxe” model.  This car currently maintains its original, fully synchronized four speed manual transmission that is very easy to shift. It is pleasure to drive with easy steering, front disk brakes and of course a wonderful rumble seat for two passengers.  Fredrick comes with a black convertible top, a full set of side curtains and a heater to keep you reasonably dry and warm in the event of rainy weather.
